On March 29, 2016 students of Moscow Architectural Institute in Moscow visited construction sites of area D2 of Technopark at the Innovation center "SKOLKOVO" within the framework of the project "Urban Campus", with the support of ODAS SKOLKOVO and RD Construction. Future architects visited the construction sites of residential quarters 9, 10 and 11 of Innovation Centre "SKOLKOVO" and could watch with their own eyes how the area was being overbuilt, the area where soon the representatives of Russian and foreign science elite will soon be engaged in their scientific activities.

Yuliy Borisov, the author of 10. quarter, co-founder and chief architect of UNK project, told about the architectural features of the project to the students. He reminded that an architectural contest which was held in 2012 and upon completion of which ten architectural concepts of various offices were selected for ten residential blocks of "SKOLKOVO" was not easy. The architect's challenge was to put into the circles provided in the master plan comfortable houses with the height not exceeding 3-5 floors, featuring panoramic glazing, surrounding groundings, the architects also had to minimize the physical fencing of land plots. It was planned that 50 thousand square meters of housing would be accommodated on 50 thousand square metres of area. To solve the issue with block No. 10, architects suggested that a two-level house arrangement system should be used. The first floor encompasses a stylobate part which includes an entrance lobby, study, utility room and a garage for electric car. The main volume of a residential house overhangs the stylobate part.
According to the architect, know-how of the project is that mainly simple domestic materials and smoothly running technologies are used in the construction of the quarter – we succeeded in mixing a special recipe of a non-standard architectural project.
