Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, the winner: UNK project, Nikken Sekkei

In Moscow, winners of an international competition for a development concept for five experimental housing renovation sites have been announced.

In Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, UNK project and Nikken Sekkei’s concept will be implemented.
The main idea is to create a full-scale city district with green landscapes, a shopping complex, surface closed passages out of a residential micro district.

It has been suggested to move all garages underground and build apartment houses with workplaces instead.
“We believe that our project will allow upgrading inhabitants’ comfort to an absolutely new level. A renovation is a lengthy process. Our task is to make everything possible for each person to feel more comfort and safety,” Yuly Borisov, UNK project’s Managing Partner declares.
